We believe that your vision, and your optical care/ health is an essential part of our patients wellbeing. Appointments are available for any eye-related concerns , and if required you can also pop in to get any dry eye drops or lid hygiene products etc .

Wood and Watson Opticians has been looking after the eye health and eyewear of the residents of Hale Village, Altrincham and beyond for over 20 years. We appreciate that everyone is unique, and we endeavour to give you the highest quality service in looking after your eyes and selecting your eyewear.
Marisa, who is our resident eyewear stylist, has been ever-present ever since Wood and Watson Opticians opened. If you require eyewear for everyday wear, or multiple options for different occasion, we have eyewear for whatever you wear.

As an independent opticians, we are able to provide a range of spectacles and sunglasses; from non-branded frames to some of the most well-known luxury eyewear designer brands, as well as some unique, local and international designer brands that are exclusive to us.
Your eyesight is precious, so it’s important that you seek out professionals with only the highest standards of clinical eye care to look after it. We have a range of diagnostic equipment to assess and monitor your eye health .We have invested in the Heidelberg Spectralis, which is an advanced digital eye scan; a visual field machine, which assesses your peripheral vision, and the Thomson Xpert Acuity Chart to get you seeing as clearly as possible.
Contact lenses are a wonderful option to help improve your vision, whether they are worn for everyday use, or sporting and social occasions. The most common and convenient option are soft daily disposable lenses, which are available to correct longsighted, shortsighted, astigmatic and presbyopic (age-related longsightedness) individuals. We have patients as young as 8 years old, as well as those that are as young as 80 years old!
